Mizuni Motiv will Take Your Data Management Efforts
to the Next Level.

The Mizuni Motiv methodology is segmented into four information management phases that define the state of your current data management system. Once we understand your current situation, we can create a plan to move you ahead.

The Five Phases of TIM are:

  • Manual
  • Electronic
  • Integrated
  • Managed
  • Realized

Manual

The Manual phase represents the most fundamental approach to data management. This phase is typically identified by the following characteristics:

  • Lack of electronic solutions
  • Data storage done manually in spreadsheets, on paper or by memory
  • Lack of network connectivity to the classroom
  • Decisions based on manually collected information

Electronic

The Electronic phase is where most school districts find themselves.
This phase is typically identified by the following characteristics:
  • Electronic information system in use for core business applications
  • Decisions based on manually collected information
  • Network connectivity to the classroom
  • Data sharing between systems does not exist or is a manual,
    batch process
  • Information entry is redundant

Integrated

The Integrated phase is becoming the benchmark by which information systems are integrated and information is shared in real-time. This phase is typically identified by the following characteristics:

  • Limited ability to make decisions based on current year data gathered electronically
  • Single point of entry for redundant data, improving data integrity
  • Well-defined processes and roles for information entry and change
  • No unified portal for school information
  • Limited to no access to trending analysis across school years

Managed

In the Managed phase we see a dramatic shift from data entry to data integrity and output to users. This phase is typically identified by the following characteristics:

Realized

In the final phase, total information management is Realized, leveraging current information and trending analysis to improve all aspects of the education cycle.
